The Geelong Music Community Collective (GMCC) is a group of musicians with an equal passion for raising mental health awareness and bringing live music performances to the community of Geelong and surrounds. Their next show is scheduled for Sunday 26th June at Barwon Club, and will feature a tribute to iconic alt-rock gods the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Like all GMCC events, this will be a show not to be missed…so come along, help to support the IMPACT TRIALS research team, and get a wholesome dose of Chili Peppers at the same time!
About GMCC and IMPACT TRIALS
GMCC has been a long-time supporter of the IMPACT TRIALS team, presenting the “Dean McInnes Student Travel Award” which provides funding allowing students and researchers at IMPACT to attend conferences and seminars in pursuit of exchanging ideas and ultimately furthering the research being undertaken. This funding is raised through regular performances by GMCC, with past shows including tributes to: AC/DC, Dave Grohl, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Metallica, Queen, and the Beatles, as well as themed shows such as Numetal, Americana, 90’s grunge, and emo-rock.
